Dietmar Eberle and Carlo Baumschlager were born in Vorarlberg, studied in Vienna and returned to Vorarlberg to establish their partnership. Since 1984 they have realized over 150 projects ranging in site and scale from modest dwellings in their region's fairytale landscape to Airport Vienna-Schwechat's planned extension. Now with offices in Lochau, Vaduz and Vienna, the dynamic Austrian firm Baumschlager & Eberle has won international acclaim for "startling and spectacular" solutions to housing, corporate quarters, industrial structures and public spaces. In even the least engaging of programs, Baumschlager & Eberle's architecture manifests precision, refinement, and inventiveness, and substantiates their unique understanding of the specific environment of site and place.
